About Our Foundation

Youth

Youth needs direction, youth needs guidance, and youth needs resources. Now, more than ever, we need to have options to be outside; especially, for the next generation. The exponential explosion of technology needs to be met with extra opportunities for experience. Our mission is support the availability of these chances to the children within our communities. The money raised within this association is allocatted to sustainable projects that are long lasting, or even generational…

Wildlife

If not you, then who? Who will take care of our wildlife when Mother Nature is stretched too thin?

We will.

With times changing and the encroachment of our recreational areas, supporting wildlife has never been more critical. The MSA is committed to assisting our “locals” in any way possible.

We have, do, and always will take pride in being able to watch the sunrise from a blind in hopes to harvest big game, a sunset on the water pursuing our favorite fish, or being able to hike through the woods with a chance to see what nature is really all about. We value the opportunity to be able to make a memory that will last a lifetime on any given day, and will continue to do so indefinitely.

With more pressure than ever, she needs help.

Our Process

Each year we host a banquet to celebrate this special place on earth. Along with generous donations from local and national foundations, businesses, and just people that believe in what we do… this banquet raises funds for us to distribute evenly between youth and wildlife in the area. To obtain funding, we require an application process that culminates with an in-person presentation to our board. From this presentation, we will vote to allocate funds or not. Before the presentation, we work with the requestor to make sure it qualifies within our bylaws for potential acceptance. The two major requirements we have are that the money benefits the youth or wildlife within 30 miles of Payson and it is sustainable for multiple people to be able to utilize.

Youth

As the saying goes: “one needs the right tool for the job,” we often find ourselves funding children’s access to materials and equipment that will allow them to further explore or extend a craft. From football to archery, and everything in between.

Wildlife

Helping fund restoration of native fish to their original watershed, providing opportunity for game species access to water in areas of need, and enabling middle school students to create fish habitats for the local lakes are a few of our recent goals that we’ve been able to accomplish.
